methland book review

Recently I finished this book while on vacation in Florida. I knew Meth was a problem, but had no idea about all the details. The author Nick Reding must be a gutsy guy or just real committed to writing this novel. Nick spent most of his time in the town of Oelwein, Iowa studying the atmosphere and history of methamphetamine there. He meets many addicts while each have their own story to tell about their addiction. Many of the addicts would use meth so they could work long hours at the warehouses & plants in town. I don’t know how a person can stay up for days or even weeks! I need sleep if you know what I mean. The book has a good variety of history lessons as well as Nick Reding’s family. I would recommend this book to the mature reader.
