I think the answer to this question should be yes. I’m not sure how anyone can argue to be honest. However, it is only a maybe thus far. Some people say that Blake is not really a rookie because he missed the 2009-2010 season due to a knee injury. Regardless, the 2010-2011 season is now his rookie year.
This guy is only 21 years old and plays like he has been in the league a long time. It’s like he soaks everything up fast. Finally the Clippers have a spark that they have needed for so long. Baron Davis is quite content I’m sure. Man is it refreshing to watch some slam dunks! Griffin does it with such ease. Defenders seem afraid to guard him or he just finds it second nature to get past anybody.
As far as Rookie of the year goes, there is still a few good months of basketball left but I see Griffin receiving the prize. The competition is stiff however. The Washington Wizards guard John Wall is probably Griffin’s toughest. Blake did receive rookie of the month for January, so he has his foot in the door. Rookie of the Year is definitely the prized possession though. He will no doubt be on the all star team one day. That is of course if he continues the good work, which shouldn’t be a problem.
