There are some good boxing matches coming up and I’d like to talk about them. Coming up on September 18th is a much anticipated showdown between unbeaten Floyd Mayweather Jr and Saul Alvarez. Floyd recently came off a unanimous decision victory over Robert Guerrero. Alvarez came off a hard fought unanimous decision victory over Austin Trout. This fight will be for a few titles; the WBA, WBC & The Ring Light Middleweight belts. Right down to it, I see Floyd winning. Saul Alvarez is a great up and coming young fighter who is deserving of fighting Mayweather. However, I believe Floyd is just too good. Alvarez will be the bigger man on fight night but I think he will be out skilled. Alvarez will land some good punches like Cotto did but Mayweather will take them and adjust. I see this fight another unanimous decision for Floyd as he coasts off still undefeated into the sunset.

On October 12 2013, Timothy Bradley will take on Juan Manuel Marquez for the WBO Welterweight title. Both men have given Manny Pacquiao defeats. Bradley’s was quite controversial but Marquez was more clear cut, if you know what I mean. So what happens when these to get into the ring? Well, no one really knows until it happens. In my opinion, I have Marquez winning the fight. I think his experience and ring savvy technique win the fight. Timothy Bradley is a hard working fighter. In his fights, he shows a lot of determination to win. This is what the judges saw when battling Manny Pacquiao. Marquez will become the new WBO Welterweight champion come October.
