UFC 190 was last week and I’d like to give my two cents. It was cool seeing some veterans get back in the cage. Veterans like the Nogueira brothers, Antonio Silva, Shogun Rua and Demian Maia. Shogun and Nogueira had a great fight. It was a back and forth tussle with Nogueira winning on the feet and Shogun scoring take downs. Rua gets the nod on the judges card. Stefan Struve defeated Minotauro Nogueira decision. Struve seemed to impose his size on the legend. Nogueira got a nice take down and was very durable during the fight. Of course the main event was Rousey defending her title against Bethe Correia.
Bethe did exert confidence in the build up to this match. Ronda said she dislikes Bethe more than Miesha Tate? Wow, I didn’t think she could dislike anyone more than Tate. Bethe had a little success in the very start of the round with some nice strikes landing. Rousey bulled her way in and dished out some heavy shots that ultimately got her the knockout victory. Speaking of Miesha Tate, I believe she is next for a title shot, for a third time. Ronda is on top of the women’s division and her competition is spread thin. Miesha is the only competitor who I believe has a legitimate chance of defeating Rousey.
