wrestlemania 32 review

Wrestlemania is the grand daddy of them all. If there is one wrestling show you watch, it’s Wrestlemania. Overall it was a decent show. On paper, every match was due to be outstanding. I did not see any of the preshow matches so I will review what I saw.

  • Ladder match of the Intercontinental Championship featured a seven man ladder match between Kevin Owens, Zack Ryder, Dolph Ziggler, Sami Zayn, Sin Cara, Stardust and The Miz. It was an entertaining bout with a lot of false hope as the competitors reached for the title hanging in the balance. Zack Ryder wins.
  • Chris Jericho vs AJ Styles was a match between two former tag team members. These two have similar styles (no pun intended), especially when Jericho was in his prime. The match was a bit slow going as the two seemed to get winded. Chris Jericho takes it much to my surprise.
  • Brock Lesnar vs Dean Ambrose in a no holds bared street fight. Man Brock is a large dude. Who would ever pick Dean Ambrose to win? Lesnar controlled the action with ease and put a hurting on Ambrose for the win.
  • Charlotte vs Becky Lynch vs Sasha Banks for the Divas Championship. This match was one of the best on the card. Ric Flair’s daughter is a good wrestler. She retains the title with the help of the man himself.
  • The Undertaker vs Shane McMahon in a Hell in a Cell match. The cage to this match was very tall and intimidating. Shane McMahon did well with the odds stacked against him. If he won, he would get control of Monday Night Raw. Unfortunately, he could not beat the dead man in a grueling fight. I can’t believe he climbed and jumped off the top of the cage, insane.
  • Triple H vs Roman Reigns for the WWE Championship. For a main event match, it sure was a snooze fest. Maybe because it was a long event and people were getting tired? Anyway, fans were booing Reigns and cheering Triple H; didn’t expect that. Stephanie McMahon came out in a unique outfit catered to Triple H’s style. Roman Reigns becomes the new champ.
  • Misc. stuff- The Rock, Mick Foley and Stone Cold Steve Austin came out and did their appearances.
